EVENT INFORMATION

The Minnesota F-Body Club’s Performance Driving Experience (PDE) is an event made up of like-minded enthusiasts who share an interest in carving corners. The event provides a chance to get out on a real racetrack and experience the thrill of driving at high speeds under the guidance of professional driving instructors in a safe and controlled environment. The event will serve as an opportunity to test your own skills as a driver and will allow you to test the limits of your street machine as well.

Beginners and other novice driving enthusiasts are welcome and encouraged to attend. All beginners are required to attend a classroom instruction session led by professional driving instructors before getting out on the track. The classroom instruction, which is very important for first-time event participants, pays off quickly once you get behind the wheel.

While the Performance Driving Experience is not a race, there are sure to be some experienced drivers with fast cars capable of quick lap times. There are often a dozen or more cars on the track at any given time, but with strict rules in place, the track remains safe for all drivers. Though safety is our number one priority, trust that there is never a shortage of fun.

The Performance Driving Experience is open to everyone. Often, people assume you have to have a highly modified car to participate or to have fun on the track, however this is not the case. Your car does not have to be fast, it only has to be safe. We require technical inspections of all cars registered for the event to ensure they are track-worthy and safe to use. Despite all of the fun you’ll have behind the wheel of your street machine, you’ll likely find that the best part of the whole event is the fun you’ll have with friends and fellow enthusiasts, new and old. EVENT SCHEDULE

We always do our best to get a good mix of drivers and cars out on the track at the same time. Beginners will be grouped together with others with limited experience while the other two groups will consist of intermediate and experienced drivers.

Please Read Regarding Open Track Session
The Open Track session is subject to approval by the Road Course Director and Course Marshall. There should be no reason we can’t open the track up for the afternoon as long as the rules have been and continue to be followed by all participants. In previous years we have not had to limit the number of cars on the track during the Open Track session, however with a large expected turnout it may be necessary. If for some reason the Road Course Director or Course Marshall decides we should not open the track for all groups, we will continue with 20-minute sessions for the remainder of the day.
